About Michelle Jenkins
Michelle Jenkins, M.D., is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and sees patients at our Cumming location. She joined North Atlanta Primary Care in 2001.
Dr. Jenkins is from Atlanta. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. Dr. Jenkins attended medical school at The Medical College of Georgia and entered the United States army to complete her internship and residency training at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
Dr. Jenkins spent the first two years after her medical training at Noble Army Hospital in Fort McClellan, AL. She then returned to Eisenhower Hospital for two years, where she served as a professor of family medicine in their residency program.
Dr. Jenkins was awarded the Army Commendation Medal in 1999, the Army Achievement Medal in 2000, and the Meritorious Service Medal in 2001. The practice named her “Physician of the Year” four times during her tenure. Dr. Jenkins additionally serves on the board of directors for a local crisis pregnancy center.
Dr. Jenkins loves spending time with her husband, Tom, and their three children. She enjoys participating in a Bible study group and teaching tennis in her spare time. Dr. Jenkins is an active member of her community and volunteers as a team physician for local sports teams.
