Thomas Bat, M.D., is the founding physician of North Atlanta Primary Care and leads the practice as Medical Director and CEO.  Dr. Bat’s growth of NAPC to 12 offices in six counties in the metro Atlanta area over the last three decades makes NAPC the first multi-site primary care in Georgia and recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). 

Dr. Bat received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  He completed his post-graduate training at the University of Tennessee, where he served as chief resident at St. Francis Hospital.  He over sought 18 residents in an 800-bed hospital affiliated with the UT health system.

Dr. Bat is a renowned leader and pioneer in healthcare.  His previous leadership roles include serving as the president of the Medical Association of Atlanta (MAA).  Additionally, he served as a board member for the Georgia Medical Political Action Committee (GAMPAC), the Georgia Physicians for Accountable Care (GPAC), and the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) founding boards at Emory Hospital and Tenet Healthcare. 

Currently, Dr. Bat remains an active leader of both the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG).   He serves as a delegate to the MAG House of Delegates and as the alternative director to the MAG Board.  He also serves on the WellStar Accountable Care Organizations/CIN Board.  Dr. Bat has been a GAMPAC Chairman Circle’s member for over ten years, and he regularly travels to the nation’s capital to meet with our leaders on healthcare legislation.

Roderick Rusyniak is the current CFO of North Atlanta Primary Care and has been with the practice for over 20 years.  As NAPC continues to grow, Rod plays a crucial role by overseeing many aspects of expansion to improve NAPC’s ability to provide healthcare to a widespread community.

Rod brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in revenue cycle management to NAPC and played a vital role in the conversion to paperless document management, EMRs, patient portal use, laboratory interfaces, and the development of internet-based cleaning houses, bringing efficiency to back-office operations.  He worked with consultants and CPAs to develop processes for managing inventory control, staff operations, human resources, and payables leading to NAPC’s Nathan Davies Award for its use of IT in an outpatient healthcare setting.

Rod obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Syracuse.  Before joining NAPC, Rod was the Southeast Director for a national collections and healthcare billing firm specializing in outpatient and home care and infusion therapies.  

As a senior healthcare executive, Rod continues to regularly attend medical conferences at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and Allscripts Executive Council meetings.  He regularly consults with other medical practices to share his expertise in practice and revenue cycle management, payer negotiations, and implementation of IT systems.  Over the last two decades, Rod has helped IT companies to develop better technology for the healthcare industry.  Navicure recognized Rod for his work in making NAPC the most efficient back-office operation in their network.  

Rod enjoys staying active by cycling and running, and he also likes gardening and traveling.  Rod participates in philanthropic events and supports fundraising for CHRIS 180, whose mission is to heal children, strengthen families and build community by providing behavioral health services and support systems to youth with challenges that were not thriving in foster homes.  

Bob Nichols, North Atlanta Primary Care COO

Bob Nicholls is the current COO of North Atlanta Primary Care and joined the practice in 2009. His 30 years of leadership experience has been vital in NAPC's growth and expansion to become one of Georgia's most significant independent primary care facilities.  

Bob received his Bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1972 and became an educator at Greenwood High School in Greenwood, Indiana, where he coached basketball for six years.  Bob obtained his Master's degree from Indiana University during his tenure.  Later, Bob pursued a career in pharmaceutical sales and management in Sarasota, Florida, with Beecham Labs. He worked with the company for 31 years and was involved in two mergers with Smithkline, and later GlaxoSmithKline. At GSK, Bob received outstanding accomplishments in both sales and management. These accomplishments landed him a place on the Wall of Fame. His experience over these 31 years included management experience in field sales as a District Sales Manager and hospital sales as a Regional Vice President. He also had short stints in oncology and marketing.


Bob and his wife have resided in Roswell since 1985. They have two lovely daughters and a grandson who plays on youth baseball and basketball teams that Bob loves coaching. Bob is an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoys going to as many games as he can throughout the season. In his spare time, Bob enjoys jogging, boating, and golfing.

Shivam Pandya, MD, North Atlanta Primary Care Clinical Director

Clinical Director

Shivam Pandya, M.D., is currently serving as the Clinical Director of North Atlanta Primary Care and oversees all clinical staff and procedures at each of our 12 locations.  Shivam joined North Atlanta Primary Care in 2018 as the Clinical Manager and Senior Training Manager and has extensive clinical management and development experience. 

Shivam is a Georgia native.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and completed his medical training at St. George’s University. 

Shivam believes using his medical knowledge in an administrative role helps impact healthcare on a larger scale to improve the wellbeing of the patients as well as medical professionals.  He formerly worked in developing urgent care centers around the New York area and decided to turn his focus to primary care.

Shivam resides in Duluth with his fiancé. He is a fan of Atlanta sports teams, and especially enjoys watching the Atlanta Falcons and Hawks.  Shivam also enjoys reading in his spare time.

Chuck Bollinger has lead North Atlanta Primary Care as the Director of Human Resources since 2015.  Chuck is responsible for the overall human resources system, including staffing, maintaining employee records, handling employee benefits, and implementing human resource policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.  

Chuck earned his Bachelor's in Organizational Management degree from Cabrini College in Philadelphia, PA.  He has more than 20 years of human resources experience.  He joined NAPC after a successful career at UPS, where he gained a variety of human resource knowledge.  During the span of his career at UPS, Chuck advanced from his first role, working part-time on the warehouse role, to his last role as UPS Procurement Services Human Resource Director.  In this position, he was responsible for all human resource services, including contingent labor, customer service centers, background check and drug screening services, recruiting process outsourcing (RPO), and vendor management. Additionally, Chuck has over five years of experience as Director of Operations in the contingent workforce environment, where he was responsible for a variety of Managed Services Programs on the West Coast.


Chuck resides in Roswell with his two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys water sports and traveling. He used to volunteer at NASCAR races in Atlanta and Talladega, where he provided security, led pit tours, garage tours, and did other various tasks. Chuck is also a scuba diving instructor emeritus.

Michael Waller, North Atlanta Primary Care IT Director

Michael Waller joined North Atlanta Primary Care as the IT Director in 2016 an has over 25 years of IT experience. His responsibilities include overseeing Information Technology strategies and developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and goals. He is also responsible for the technology investments for new information systems and upgrades to hardware and software components.

Michael enlisted into the U.S. Army at an early age and served his country for ten years as a Pershing Missile Electronic/Mechanical Repairman. His demonstration and superior degree of technical expertise were instrumental in the performance of the Pershing II Missile System. His accomplishments as Commander of the Relief for the Pershing II Operational Testing and the SALT II Treaty Inspection Team earned him several awards and accommodations. Staff Sergeant Michael Waller ended his military career in 1992 with an Honorable Discharge.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems degree from Saint Leo University in 2009.  He brings a wealth of knowledge from his past experiences to NAPC.  Michael was the Senior System Analyst for Kaiser Permanente for 14 years, where he was responsible for providing leadership and training to all new and junior analysts supporting over 100 various applications for over 200,000 users. His other duties included providing in-depth reporting to executives and upper-level management of findings during high and critical outages. Before his time at Kaiser, Michael served as the IT Manager/LAN Administrator at International Banking Technologies for four years.  His responsibilities included providing operational support for LAN/WAN systems and developing, documenting, and coordinating contingency and security planning for the company.

Michael has obtained numerous certifications in professional training. He continues to strive for personal development and professional growth.

In Michael's spare time, he enjoys golfing, bike riding, and attending Atlanta Braves baseball and Falcons football games with his wife.
